Dave and Jane Long

Dave:

My name is Dave Long. This is my wife, Jane, and we’ve worked with Warwick Financial Solutions since 2014.

Jane:

We chose Warwick Financial Solutions in 2014 because, unfortunately, Dave lost both his parents, and we were left with a sum of money that we didn’t know what to do with. Neither of us work in the financial world so we went to people who could help us, and were recommended Warwick by a close friend.

Dave:

My concerns were “can you trust anybody with the amounts of money that were that we were talking about?”. It was the fact they were actually recommended by a friend that made the difference.

When we first went to Warwick Financial Solutions, they sat us down and made us very comfortable. They gave a little bit of a background about their company: the kind of people that they deal with, and the fact that all sorts of people go there for all sorts of different reasons. I guess, really, they made us feel at home.

Jane:

Richard and Warwick Financial Solutions are lovely, and I have real faith in them, to the point that we don’t actually think about the money they’re looking after – we just let them get on with it. They offer guidance when we need it, then we see them once a year to meet up and have a chat. It definitely feels like going see friends rather than financial advisors.

Dave:

The best thing about working with Richard is that I don’t have to remind him about where we stand – he knows exactly where we are. I don’t have to go over things we’ve talked about in the past in great detail. He knows our mindset, what we like and don’t like, and his advice goes in tandem with that.

Jane:

Richard always goes the extra mile. I’m planning to retire next year after 37 years in the NHS, and to say I’m baffled by the NHS pension system would be an understatement! Thankfully, he’s going the extra mile by helping me to sort it all out. I know I’m in safe hands when he’s dealing with it, and I can relax and look forward to my retirement.

I would definitely recommend Warwick Financial Solutions. They totally get people, from the grieving stage right through to the acceptance stage and having money they don’t know what to do with. They’re very patient and understanding and always treat you with the courtesy you need at certain times in your life.
